Ms. Otis has over twenty years of diverse financial experience and over seventeen years of experience investing equity in small businesses. She is a Co-founder and Partner with Lightspring Capital GP, LLC. Her responsibilities include deal sourcing, execution, portfolio monitoring, marketing, investor relations and operations.
Ms. Otis has spent the last 17 years focused on control equity investments with Waveland Investments where she served on the Investment Committee. Responsibilities included sourcing opportunities, structuring and negotiating transactions, developing industry and management relationships, conducting due diligence, overseeing investments, exits, fundraising, and investor communications. Ms. Otis has co-led 19 equity investments deploying more than $72 million in capital. In her capacity at Waveland, Ms. Otis served as a director for Indiana Business Bank, serving on the ALCO Committee.
Prior to Waveland, Ms. Otis spent a year at Goldman Sachs, with the Program in Sales and Trading within the FICC Division.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, she was an Associate with LaSalle Partners. During her six-year tenure, she managed projects and served as lead negotiator in real estate transactions for several major U.S. corporations.
Ms. Otis is a Member of the Private Equity Women Investor Network (PEWIN), an organization for senior level women in private equity. She is also a Member of Illinois Growth and Innovation Fund (ILGIF) Advisory Council that supports the Illinois Treasurer’s Office
Ms. Otis received her MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Northwestern University.
